The 2013 Leto Cellars Old Vine Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from dry-farmed vines that were planted in 1973, and that only produce one and a half to two tons an acre. A warm and dry spring created near perfect conditions for flowering and fruit in 2013, and even temperatures throughout summer produced optimal ripeness at harvest. Slow native fermentation, stirred on the lees and aged in neutral oak barrel, brought forth aromas of citrus and wildflowers, and a bright, juiciness with flavors of lemon, tangerine and apricot pie. It’s well-balanced and the perfect companion to any meal.
